The Yeats Society, Yeats Memorial Building, Hyde Bridge, Sligo
Includes the Yeats Exhibition Centre, Yeats library, Sligo Art Gallery and River Caf. The Yeats International Summer school is held during the first two weeks of August and the Yeats Winter School is usually held in the last weekend of January. Tel: 071-9142693

- Sligo Folk Park provides a glimpse of rural and Irish heritage at the turn of the late 19th century. There is a museum and exibition hall where visitors can see one of Irelands finest collections of rural history and agricultural artefacts. Call 071-9165001.
- Lissadell House is the famous childhood home of Countess Markievicz and her sister Eva Gore-Booth. It stands overlooking Sligo Bay, under the shadow of Benbulben, 7km from Sligo city. The house and gardens have been restored and are in the process of being transformed to their former glory. Tours are available. Call 071-9163150
